Articles/Contract Writing

As a former small-town newspaper reporter and current freelance writer, I have reported on a range of topics, from the local development of alternative energy and preservation of historic buildings to provincial characters and the use of technology in education. I’ve written extensively on the local skiing culture in Franconia, New Hampshire, for various publications. My favorite pieces to research and write are feature articles, especially profiles of people, but I am practiced at relaying information about most any subject. I write a twice-monthly column for the Record-Littleton newspaper, and I have penned articles for magazines including POWDER, Northern Woodlands, Forest Notes, Snow East, and Living Healthy.

Copy Writing and Blogging

I have crafted copy for everything from advertisements and promotional newsletters to Websites for local ventures and regional trade groups. My work in this area has included monthly newsletters for the Littleton Food Co-op  and Website copy for the New Hampshire Maple Experience, the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce, and The Rocks Estate, as well as Blog posts for The Rocks and The NH Maple Experience.

Press Releases/Local Media Placement

Since leaving the newspaper business, I’ve maintained positive professional relationships with area publications and have written and edited press releases for myriad local businesses and nonprofit organizations. My clients have included the North Country Chamber Players, the Littleton Food Co-op, The Rocks Estate and Bretzfelder Park, AHEAD Inc., Northwoods Manufacturing and small businesses throughout the region.
